Justification of Ecoregion Delineation
This ecoregion is equivalent to the DMEER unit of the same name. It includes the lowland-colline subcontinental meadow steppes and dry grassland vegetation, and lowland-colline lime oak forests of Eastern Europe (Bohn et al. 2000).
