The World Wildlife Fund's (WWF) Conservation Science Program (CSP) seeks to advance the frontiers of science and practice within WWF and across the conservation community, laying the scientific foundation for conserving a planet that sustains both biodiversity and people. The CSP seeks a PHP Programming intern to provide support within its Information Unit. The CSP Information Unit provides broad support to scientific research by obtaining, organizing, analyzing and presenting information, including databases, GIS, and remote sensing technologies.

Major duties and responsibilities include developing and supporting an online GIS software ordering application, an internal conservation science portal and a Freshwater web database.

Minimum Requirements:

This internship requires knowledge of PHP programming language, JavaScript and jQuery and strong understanding of relational databases primarily managing MySQL databases. Knowledge of Zend Framework and GIS programming is a definite advantage.

Duration:

Through December 21, 2012

Stipend:

Unpaid internship. Only enrolled students are eligible for this internship as you must be able to receive academic credit from your current academic institution.
