Michael Anderson

GIS Associate

Michael focuses on terrestrial ecosystem services utilizing GIS and the InVEST suite of tools developed by the Natural Capital Project to examine tradeoffs and potential synergies to achieve conservation and development goals. He has recently worked in the Greater Virungas Landscape and is continuing work in the Amazon basin and Indonesia.

He earned a BS in Animal Science from Cornell University and an MSc in Primate Conservation from Oxford Brookes University. For his dissertation at Oxford Brookes Michael used MaxEnt to create habitat suitability models for 13 species of sportive lemurs.
