About WWF's Partnership with ARKive

ARKive - Images of Life on EarthARKive's mission is to promote the conservation of the world's threatened species, through the power of wildlife imagery. Given that WWF’s mission is the conservation of nature, including protecting endangered species; a partnership between the two organizations provides benefits to both as each spreads the word about conservation and endangered species.

ARKive is an initiative of Wildscreen, a not-for-profit organization geared to promote the public understanding and appreciation of the world's biodiversity and the need for its conservation, through the power of wildlife imagery. The ARKive project is also supported by Wildscreen USA, Inc., a non-profit organization based in Washington, DC, near WWF’s U.S. headquarters. Launched in 2003, ARKive has the backing of leading conservation organizations, including BirdLife International, Conservation International, IUCN, UNEP-WCMC, and WWF, as well as leading academic and research institutions, such as the Natural History Museum, London; Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew; and the Smithsonian Institution.
