The Great Amazon River Cruise
- 10 Days
WWF has been working in the Amazon for 40 years, and it is difficult to overexaggerate the region's importance. The rain forest is home to one in 10 known species on Earth and contains half of the planet’s remaining tropical forests, which help stabilize the world's climate.
During this itinerary to Peru, you'll journey down the river on a comfortable riverboat, exploring different parts of the forest by skiff and on foot. You'll also explore South America's most famous archeological site, Machu Picchu.
- Look for an array of wildlife in the rain forest, including pink river dolphins, tropical birds, monkeys and sloths.
- Travel aboard a riverboat customized to maximize wildlife viewing.
10-day tours are offered by WWF's primary tour partner, Natural Habitat Adventures. Cost and complete details to come.
